Each Didasko Seminar is designed to equip pastors, who are actively teaching in their churches, to teach the truth of the Bible to their congregations in a compelling way.

Join us for all of the above at Mt. Angel Abbey at the serene Saint Benedict Guesthouse & Retreat Center. Hotel-style rooms with private bath and hot meals included.

Spend a week immersed in the Word of God in sharpening discussion with a small group of other teaching pastors from a variety of backgrounds. Leave feeling refreshed and equipped for your next sermon series. As one pastor said, "do what you can to be there - you will not regret it."

Schedule

Our first session begins Tuesday morning after breakfast and our final session ends at noon on Friday. Please plan to attend and participate the entire time.

Daily sessions will roughly start by 9am and end by dinnertime, with short breaks throughout the day. Evenings will remain free for relaxation and connecting with each other. For more details on what to expect, please see: https://didaskoseminars.org/seminars/.

Scholar

John Walton, PHD Author and Professor Emeritus at Wheaton College and Graduate School

John has a graduate degree in biblical studies from Wheaton College and a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Cognate Studies at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Much of his research has focused on comparative studies between the Old Testament and the ancient Near East. He has over 30 publications, many related to his studies on the book of Genesis. John is currently working on a commentary on Daniel for the New International Commentary on the Old Testament.

Chris Dolson Pastor Emeritus, Blackhawk Church and Executive Director, Didasko Seminars

Chris Dolson has spent over 40 years preaching and training preachers. He understands the pressures of pastoral ministry. He has been the senior pastor of small, mid-sized and large churches. Chris has degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M. 1983) and Gordon-Conwell Seminary (D.Min. 1999) where his preaching mentor was Haddon Robinson.

Registration includes seminar sessions live and in-person with Dr. John Walton Tuesday 7/29 through Friday 8/1, lodging Monday 7/28 night through Thursday 7/31 night, all meals Tuesday 7/29 breakfast though Friday 8/1 lunch. Linens, towels, coffee, and snacks are provided.
